Our Story

The Lolligagger Band is from Auburn California. Radio station DJ Rob MacClanahan from KFOK has classified them as "Countrified Mountain Rockers". Tyhe band isn't sure that discription fully encapsulates their sound, but they do know they have been called worse. The Lolligaggers as of Jan 2016 are working on their 1st CD at  the studio of Baxter Ranch Recording   with the help of Sound Engineer/musician Matt Baxter http://www.mattbaxter.com/.   The Band members consist of Bryan Dickerson on bass, Bryan Cowman vocals and percussion, Steve Hall vocals and lead guitar and Geoff Holloway vocals, rhythm guitar, slide guitar, harmonica.

The band to date has a relatively small number of gigs under their belt, but have drawn the attention of local Auburn paper Auburn Journal  http://www.auburnjournal.com/article/10/29/15/there%E2%80%99s-no-down-time-lolligaggers#.VjOb3buC_pw.facebook  and have opened for Austin Tx. based recording artist Kevin Russell and band ShinyRibs at the Auburn Event Center "Foothill Fillmore"  this past 9/18/15. The band is determined to have more focus and ambition to out separate themselves from bands of the area. To find uniqueness in a very large pond of talented musicians. Mainly however to find a welcome bridge between them and those that care to be entertained by them.

The Lolligaggers were formed from the conspiring efforts of singer/songwriter Geoff Holloway and then new found drummer friend Brian Cowman.  Geoff was the product of various Blues, Rock bands of the Sacramento/Gold Country Foothills area such as Xciter, Blues Farm, Rodents of Unusual Size, Menace. Wheras Bryan had a handful of desire to get back his old chops after a 25 yr. hiatus from performing music. Together the two forged ahead with a few original songs that Holloway had ammassed and some classic favorites trying to form alliance with a steady turnover of guitarist and bass players. After nearly a year of frustation of starting over again, Geoff called and met with guitarist Steve Hall. Steve recommended bassist Bryan Dickerson. The two of them Dickerson and Hall met with Cowman and Geoff and they appeared to have done their homework. They clicked together and have been on fast track since. Six months later they were starting to gig and after nine months they were headed to the studios with all original music. Their plan was to record 3 groups of 6 songs each to pull the best into a their 1st CD release. They are in that process now. Along the way Geoff and Steve have started to colaborate in thier songwriting and Steve has a song soley written by himself called September now recorded at Baxter Ranch Recording.

Positive things are happening for this band. Hall and Holloway way have a series of songs to arrange and record with the band. Dickerson too, is showing signs of writing prowess. Then there is Cowman who keeps getting wiser and more polished, seems he has been saving it all thes years. More and more the band is finding sage input from the man that sets the groove. Look for their exciting 1st CD summer of 2016. Be the 1st to sign in to their new mailing list.
